Parent Involvement

Throughout the year there are a wide range of opportunities for parents to partner in their child's education and community life. This may be through committees, information sessions, targeted learning based initiatives and programs etc. Supporting school activities are a great way to make new friends and make a difference in the lives of the students.

In order to maintain safety in our school community for students and parents, all volunteers need to have a Catholic Police Clearance and complete an WHS induction.

This is an easy process. For more information, please go to our Volunteering page.

Parents and Friends Committee

The Parents and Friends Committee (P&F) is an enthusiastic and passionate group of parents within the School community who are committed to developing and promoting a sense of community while actively supporting the School to raise funds for specific projects to benefit all students at St Francis School.

Many of the activities that the P&F organise are family orientated and have a fundraising focus, however the key focus of the P&F is to build a strong school community.

The P&F meets once a term.  Various sub committees are set up to organise events and meet as required.  You don't have to attend committee meetings to be involved- you may prefer to receive information and register to volunteer at events.

Annual events include:

  • Sports Day
  • Mother's Day Brunch/stalls
  • Father's day breakfast/stalls

We appreciate your support and invite you to get involved in whatever capacity you can.
