Ecological Conversion and Action

In the spirit of ‘St Francisness’, students are encouraged to make and create strong connections with the natural world.
Students are immersed in opportunities to experience and embed ecological consciousness and sustainable practices at the St Francis School.
Leadership and buddy groups make connections which guide students through initiatives such as:
Promoting Nude food
Research, design, construction and ongoing maintenance of the Pilya Pilya Butterfly Sanctuary and making connections with the original custodians the Kaurna people.
Promoting war on waste through understanding the importance of recycling and green bin usage.
Caring for the Frog Pond and Wetland Nature play area
Planting growing and harvesting foods from the vegetable garden.
Making connections with Breakout Creek.

As part of our ‘St Francisness’, we are called to Ecological Conversion and Action.
